My Mission

Teaching transformational yoga, inspiring practice, aiding unique healing experiences.

Why Yoga?

It’s a path of self development dating back over 5,000 years encompassing body mind and spirit. A path to health and wellbeing with awareness as its cornerstone, bringing physical vitality, mental resilience and access to inner peace.

Yogic techniques can bring you from stressed-out to a resilient balance, from being physically challenged to healing and from unawareness to mindfulness. Tried and trusted strategies can help you on your mat and in your daily life.

Do you want authentic guidance, to understand more about practices, to get some dedicated ‘me-time’, to get professional support in a friendly class? Why not come to class with me? I offer in-person classes in Husthwaite, Easingwold and Thirsk, Online yoga via Zoom, private sessions, Yoga with Alpacas, workshops and courses.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is traditional healing massage, originating in Japan, using the power of touch to help the body connect to its own innate healing abilities. Based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), flow of Qi (energy) along meridians and supporting the body and to achieve a more balanced harmonious state. Treatments are given with receiver fully clothed lying on a futon covered with a blanket or in a special supportive chair.

Giving shiatsu is like performing a moving meditation, whilst receiving is deeply relaxing, yet invigorating, producing a deeper awareness of each part of your body.

Shamanic Healing

Shamanic cultures extend way back, long before written history, to a time when all things were thought to be permeated by Spirit (animism); when the wellbeing of everything was seen as being dependent upon spiritual harmony within and around. The word shaman, originating from Siberia, means ‘one who sees in the dark’ and the shamanic healer (sometimes called a Spirit talker) can ask for help through shamanic trance journey, to bring back Power, Spirits and guidance to help any diminishment of spiritual energy, loss of soul parts and assist with many chronic issues of ill health.
